TC mentions it is through “secure FTP connection” and the sftp connection is definitely slower than the ftp connection When I now connect through TC with sftp, I end up in my own user directory xmydomain\user\*.*, one level lower than with normal ftp (xmydomain\*.*)
When connecting first time, saw this part of “trust this key” coming by and saved it on my computer. Is that correct and does the FQ server automatically recognizes it as an attempt to connect through SSH2 or should I use a different host name or somehow mention somewhere that it should be SSH2 ( that is the main question)? Made new connection using the same info I would use for a normal ftp connection, that is, as host I entered and filled my normal FQ username and password. Via TC network neighborhood (took some time to find that one) entered “secure ftp connections”.
I installed the recommended third-party sftp plugin (sftp4tc) on Total Commander.Just to make sure I am now using a secure connection when uploading files for our website.
